Lash Extension - Aftercare

FIRST 24 HOURS:

-- Avoid touching your extensions.

-- Avoid wearing eye makeup after your appointment.

-- Avoid taking hot showers or baths, tanning and saunas, as the steam and oil produced by your face from the heat would cause the lash adhesive bond to break, causing them to cure improperly and eventually fall.

-- Avoid extreme heats, such as ovens, grills, fireplaces; these will cause fresh glue to reactivate and extensions will immediately fall.

CONTINUING/DAILY:

-- Keep lashes clean and free of dust, debris, and natural facial oils.

-- Wash them 1-2 times daily just as you would with your teeth and body.

-- Use LASH SHAMPOO to clean them after micellar water (if you wear eye makeups) as it will effectively remove debris and face oil. Failure to clean lashes daily will result in early fallout.

-- Avoid oil-based skincare or makeup products, cleansers, and makeup removers as they cause the glue to breakdown faster – use only oil-free products.

-- Avoid applying additional mascara over your lash extensions, as this puts you at risk of losing lashes sooner than normal

-- Do not use an eyelash curler.Avoid putting your face directly into the shower stream; the water pressure may result in damage to your lash.

-- Sleep on your side or back and wear an eye mask with eye cavities to avoid pressing your lashes into the pillow.

-- Brush out your lashes with a spolie at least twice a day in the morning, especially after getting them wet. Do this carefully without tugging your lashes.

-- Keep lashes away from direct heat such as ovens, smoke, cigarettes and fire as they can cause your lash extensions to singe on the ends.

-- After swimming, sweating, tanning, and even crying (yes it sounds crazy, but the saltwater in your eyes will clump the lashes together) clean your face and lashes.

-- NEVER pull on lash extensions, when they’re ready to shed, they will shed naturally.

LASH FILLS AND REMOVAL:

-- Lash fills are a refresh of your current set. They should still look fresh and clean even after a few weeks. Come to fills with at least 40% of extensions remaining, clean and not overgrown.

-- If you come in for a fill, please note that if more than 60% of lash extensions are gone, dirty or need to be removed the appointment may result in less than 100% coverage and/or considered a full set.

-- Fills should be done every 3-4 weeks depending on which style of lashes you have and the retention you keep.

-- The average person loses about 3-5 lashes per day naturally during a normal lash cycle so do not be alarmed as this is normal.

-- Please come in for removals, do not attempt to remove your lashes at home. It is a quick and painless procedure when done professionally and keep the integrity of your natural lashes.
